As a realtor, I entered many homes. I had one lady yell because she thought the house she wanted to purchase was haunted. She was angry because of it being haunted, but because once they moved in, she found out it was not haunted. There was a lot of draft in the house. All of us couldn’t find any air loss at all, unless we did a suction test. She wasn’t willing to spend money for it, and the lady who had previously owned the home, had died, and that is why she thought it was haunted. She called me after she had been living there for about more than one week. Apparently, her wife wanted to update the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C. She wanted to include some updates that would include a nice dehumidifier, because she had seen signs of mold and mildew. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company discovered pinholes in the air duct and she had decided to have the entire plan ripped out and a genuinely new Heating, Ventilation plus A/C installed. She got the whole works. She included temperature control, zone control, and smart thermostat. She was ecstatic with the new system, until she realized that her draft was no longer present. She didn’t hear the whistles anymore, and the creaks and groans in the middle of the night, no longer existed. She wanted to get her cash back from the sale and find a house that really was haunted. Her wife called my office, and told me to ignore her. She said that she knew there was a small Heating, Ventilation plus A/C complication when they obtained the house. She tried to tell her it was not haunted at all, but it just needed some work. She promised to get her psychiatric help, and she was going to keep the home now, especially since she already had the entire Heating, Ventilation plus A/C plan installed recently.
