I love to swim laps every day at the city pool during the warm season time. It is located at an indoor facility so we have air conditioning during the warm season as well as a heated area during the winter season. The city pool has a very powerful heating, ventilation, as well as A/C system because the location is equipped with a very large high roof. They keep the temperature control at a very comfortable level and I am often wondering why the water become so cold. I recognized it might be nice if they can heat the pool just a little bit more during the wintertime. I’m not exactly sure how the heated pool system works, however, I know it must work sort of like radiant heated flooring. Perhaps it works like a heating, ventilation, as well as A/C system in some way. Part of the facility has a heated pool, however, it is only for small children as well as the elderly. We cannot swim laps in that pool and I am warmed up so the A/C in the warm season actually feels good. I wonder if they turn the temperature controlled down during the night when they close the pool. It seems like it would be a an entire waste of money to have the A/C system blasting when no one is there. Since the pool is run by the city government, they are probably wasting money. It would not surprise me one bit if they keep the A/C running the entire day and night. Maybe the next time I go to the swimming area I’ll ask the attendant if she knows anything about their air conditioning system inside of that facility.
