Kids don’t need AC

I have next to no experience with children. I grew up as the youngest child, with both of my sisters being numerous years older than me. I also only have a single younger cousin, who I did appreciate playing with when I was about 9 years old. But other than that, I’ve had no nieces or nephews, and none of my friends have ever procreated, but as such, I was actually surprised to find myself getting along pretty really with my girlfriend’s three year old kid. The two of us have been out running and playing on numerous occasions now, and my simple complaint is how much air conditioning I require to try to keep up with him. The two of us get so worked up outside that I get home and crank my new AC at full blast to cool down. I even have to stand directly in front of the air vents to get the full ventilation and air movement that I need to bring my body temperature down to a more normal level. I suppose I can appreciate it’s going to be expensive if every one of us keep up this level of activity throughout the summer season, and I don’t want to overburden my new air conditioning or have to spend money an expensive service for an HVAC specialist to come out for maintenance already. That being said, I love the fact that I’m having fun with the little guy, and they have no control over the indoor air conditions so I can’t be bitter about it if my air conditioning does ultimately break down. I think I could just ask her dad to maybe help spend money for the HVAC supplier if it comes down to it.
