Considering Installing Central Air Conditioning

I don’t have air conditioning installed in my home, since the summer season is so short. There are still days where the heat and humidity are high, but they never last very long. There are some summers where the weather is constantly rainy, which makes the humidity even worse. In the past, I have used box fans and overhead fans to get some circulation inside my home and get rid of the humidity. I try not to leave windows open, since that’s a great way to get an infestation of ants. It’s also frustrating to have all that noise from the neighborhood seeping inside the house, too. I worry about having a secure home when the windows are open, and I always have to run around the house closing the windows if it starts to rain. Although I have always gotten by without a cooling unit, I think that I am finally ready to install an air conditioner. I have been looking into getting central air conditioning installed in my home, since it would be the best way to make sure that every room in my house is evenly cooled. It would also be great to have better indoor air quality, since the air would not be half as humid or sticky with the air conditioning running! Plus, central air conditioning units come with air filters, meaning that they can take away dust, dirt, or pollen that is flowing through the air. I have made an appointment with a nearby HVAC company to talk more about the possibility of installing central air conditioning. If it goes well, I might have my first air conditioner installed before the summer ends!
