I used to be in a band in school. My condo was the place that all of us practiced too. My beach condo used to be an old party house. That means that there are multiple entrances plus lots of open spaces. My band would practice upstairs in what can only be a dining room type area. It was a large area with lots of plugs as well as windows. It was perfect to have a drum set, store guitars plus plug in loud amplifiers. The issue was how humid it would get in the warm season. The amps, electronics plus our body heat was an unbearable combination. Heat also rises plus all of us quickly observed that. The windows were older and barely opened up. So all of us had basically no type of cooling. We got a few box fans plus window A/C units for the dining room. The cooling power was not easily impressive though. By the end of a jam session all of us all would be sweaty and hot. Also having no central air conditioner was not fantastic for the equipment. We would get hot, but so would our amps and instruments. It is not fantastic for amplifiers or electric instruments to get overheated. We unquestionably should have invested in an air conditioner unit, but all of us were only 17 years old. So calling a Heating and Air Conditioning company for air conditioner installation was not on the list of priorities. I still play drums now that I am living on my own. The first thing I did before I played was get air conditioner installed in our band room. I now will never play without having an A/c running.
