As soon as that paint on the paintbrush touches a canvas, it is such a great feeling. Some people may paint just for the money when they seek to be an artist, but not me. I paint for the love and beauty of art. Please don’t get me wrong, when the finished product happens to be hanging upon a wall for all to see, it is the most gratifying feeling. But the journey to reach that finished product is what I absolutely enjoy the most. I have been lucky enough to be a successful artist that can make a living simply by painting alone. My specialty is portraying landscapes of various types. To really get the sense that I am there within the portrait, I adjust my thermostat to the exact temperature of the environment I am attempting to replicate. For instance, if I am in the process of painting a winter wonderland picturing feet of snow resting on tree branches adjacent to a rushing creek, I will simply crank up the air conditioner to feel as if I was really standing inside of the snowy weather. If I were painting a sandy beach with the waters crashing onto the shore, I would turn up the furnace along with the humidifier and feel the heat surrounding me as if I were personally on the beach. People think I am absolutely crazy when I tell them the secret to my artistry is through my own HVAC system! They say there is no way a furnace or AC could create such incredible talent, but they are definitely wrong. My HVAC system is most definitely what has allowed me to become the artist I am today, and if I had the chance I would not change a thing about the way I go about my business.
